Bij Hanz has been the house of CMC for several years and it quickly became one of our customers thanks to the proximity but also the good relationship that was already established.
Rob Haantjes, the community manager, tells us how the partnership between bij Hanz and CMC began and why they decided to hire the services of CMC. “CMC is a tenant of us, therefore it was quite easy to know their services. We had some problems with other tenants that were behind with their rent so we came to CMC for them to help us out.”
Rob also mentioned that the relationship they had with CMC played a big part in why they chose our services. He then explains the challenge that they were facing. “We tried to get the conversation started with them but the tenant was not sticking to his promises of paying the rent. CMC provided great advise, they also informed us on which steps we needed to take and the changes we needed to make for future agreements. It has been quite helpful not only in the case itself but also thinking outside the box and helping us out to make better agreements.”

The collectability of a debt decreases as time passes by. Rob experienced that, therefore he advices to engage a debt collection agency as soon as possible - “Don’t wait too long to get professional help. If you have problems with people, don’t get too personal on it otherwise it will be too difficult to have disagreements together.”

For Rob, it was completely the opposite as it actually helped to heal the relationship. “The conversation with the tenant was stuck and CMC started the conversation again. The debtor is talking to us again and we are trying to fix the relationship we had. It’s a company that was with us for many years already but due to this situation it was difficult to stay in touch. CMC opened the conversation again and helped us to come together again. We are pleased with the experience. They don’t only collect but they help you out. I only needed to send a message to CMC and things started rolling.”
